October Journal

The journal prompt for the 18th was to jump into a book or a movie and what character would you be. I really couldn't think of a book or a movie that I would want to be in unless I was a minor character like maybe the wealthy relative that "doesn't" get killed off. So I just put a couple of stick folk jumping into a fairy tale. Castles, knights, dragons and damsels helping the distressed.

The prompt for the 19th was Masks. The thing that came to mind were the Comedy & Tragedy Masks. I didn't realize until I was finished that I had used the colors from an earlier prompt. Lime green, purple and blue, which I really like together. I think it needs something though. Ya think? I'll have to work on it more.

The 22nd - What door in your life is begging to be opened? There are too many doors to just choose one! This is the first time I have tried anything Zetti-like. I think I like it.

The 23rd was Daydreams and Nightmares. I couldn't get a good scan of this for some reason but the butterfly is done in a shimmery watercolor paint that you can't really see in the scan.

The 24th was the Wisdom Monkeys, you know, hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.

Thanks for looking.

  1. Loved seeing these!! I had a tough time with the dreams and nightmares prompt, but seeing what you did has inspired some ideas for me.

  2. Another set of beautiful pages! love them all! They are all so different, and I know you had a theme, but I often do similar things even with the theme. You have wonderful ideas!

  3. I am finding the daydreams/nightmares prompt really tough too - I like the way you've done it. I love the doors page best, think the black and white outlining is really effective.

  4. Thanks. I think the black and white helped as well. I may have to do more of it!
