more faces

Just a quick post to show you my latest faces.

My first guy face
Elf

This is one from my last post that Mary wanted done in color.

And this one started as a regular girl but ended up as something entirely different. Sort of a ZenZetti TangleDoodle. Kinda scarey isn't it!

more pencil sketches

Just when I think I am finally getting the hang of two eyes and I get all pleased with myself I see that my ladies have all had lip jobs! I really never noticed that all the lips are fairly fat! So now I have to add lips to the ever growing list of things to improve. But, I like them. These are a few of the pages I did while waiting for the storms to pass. They are done in pencil.

Yesterday

Here are a few things I did yesterday. The other day I made a Copic stitch book from manilla folders. This is the first page done in watercolor.

This is done in pencil on the manilla folder end I cut off.

These are ATC's.

I think I have gotten much better at making the eyes look like they belong on the same face. They're done in pencil so kind of hard to see. OK, so one is one eyed and one's a vampire and I seem to have forgotten the lashes but, Hey, eyes are eyes, right! Why the top of their heads are missing you ask?  OK.

Marley

This is Marley. My first dog portrait. It's done in pencil on white sketch paper. I wish I would have done it on toned? paper so I could have used a white pencil but I didn't and it isn't and I won't do it again! It took me so long! I am in a hurry, I don't want it to take weeks. I wanna see it NOW! I thought I was gonna go nuts barking mad! It was hard to stop shading! Just a little more here, and here, and here, Oh! and over here could use a little more! HA! But I like it. I think it looks like him, (and his hippo). What do you think?

Spider Man

Isn't it funny how the mind works? I started out with the Mad Hatter, then Jekyll and Hyde then I thought maybe a vampire and what happens? A spider man moves in to lure Mz Fly into his web.

journal pages

More messing round with no plan. I do that a lot.  I did a few pages in my journal-s. I have several unfinished journals and several loose pages that need to be made into a journal. I'll get to it some day.

tree frog - apparently a very happy one! Doesn't it look like he's smiling?
 Don't you just love dragonflies?

I just felt like small on this day.

Sewing

Someone on one of my groups put a link to a blog where the lady had put a zipper on a stuffed owl. Zipping up her inner critic. I'm sure I read the blog but really, I can't seem to remember it or find it. So whoever thought this up - I'm sorry I can't remember your name.
I love owls so my inner critic certainly can't be an owl, but it can be a doodoo doll. (sorry I don't voodoo ~ no pain pins allowed). Next step is a stuffed one.

Zip it bub
This is from a photo someone sent me. Well, it's sorta from it. OK, the photo does have a tree and a light post in iy. After looking at it on here I think I'm not finished with it.

Journal pages

Two posts in one day. I'm on a roll.
The last Journal challenge on the ACFUN  group was the letter G - for Galeanthropy, which is the belief that you are a cat.  So the page is yourself as a cat and give you a cat name.  My sister informed me that I don't have green eyes.  Yes, well, I'm not really a cat either so what's your point?

Bees ~
I do a lot of silly pages don'tcha think?  I like silly!

Artist Trading Cards

I really enjoy trading my small works of art with others. Some people are so talented. Some that I have never traded with are so talented. (you know who you are)!

Cats ~These first three cards were done a couple of years ago.

This was suppose to be my calico but I goofed so it became someone else.
The second try it became my cat.

Just being goofy
I saw some art online somewhere, (before I even knew there was a Pinterest) I'm sorry that I didn't keep her information but she does the most beautiful cat faces and flowers with pastels on a black background. I was really impressed and inspired. Then I forgot! Which I'm pretty good at!

Cat noses are not easy!
