Bird Brain

Yes! I still have birds on the brain. What can I say I love birds.

Short bird story.
After hearing a ruckus on the deck I walked out to see what wonderful little tid-bit my cat brought me. He was surprisingly innocent.  I interrupted a Mississippi Kite about to invade the birds at the feeder. Brazen bully! I'm glad I interrupted him. I love my little birdies. Now if it would have been an owl I would just say, "Well it's gotta eat"! (The feeders are too high for the cat, Just sayin')

I have a couple of friends that also love birds, if you can imagine that, (not that I have friends but that they like birds), so I did up a small watercolor for each of them.

Nothing Much

I have been in a funk now for way too long. I just haven't been in the mood to be creative. I made a few ATC's but not many. I haven't worked in my journal, I've been doing a watercolor for a friend that I just can't finish. Hopefully all will be well soon!

Pink boots ATC

I found these boots and hat in a box as a line drawing. I'm thinking it was drawn early last year. About time I added a little color.

This month's lottery on the ATCFUN group is Medieval architecture/castles. I like castles. Well really I like Dragons and they are always going after the princess in the castle so . . . I drew a castle for the lottery and a dragon for me.

I also joined a swap on the ATCWORLD yahoo group called "Snow Day". I realize most kids now probably just play video games on snow days but there weren't such things back in my school days.

imagine the possibilities

 I did a little creating today after not even feeling like getting out of bed. Sore throat, headache, but I did get up and several cups of coffee later, I felt better!

In my ATCFUN group I joined a mingle where we start with a 6X6 piece of corrugated cardboard. It actually turned out pretty well. The scan didn't turn out very well so I used my phone. It isn't great but it's a lot better than the scan.

It all started with a leaf. You know those dried up skeleton leaves that come in a package? You used to could get them. I've had these a long time so I'm not sure they still sell them. Just looking at them gave me several possible ways to use them. I finally settled on one. Although it changed several times along the way.
