It's For The Birds

Birds seemed to be the theme for the month of January. I like drawing birds but my feathers need work.

This is called a Quirky bird. It was fun to make. You can watch a video on it at Elaine Larkin Creations and be sure to check out her other videos she comes up with some great ideas for using up instead of throwing away.
And a silly Fairy Tale Rolodex card.

Finally

Here I am and another 2 months have gone by. My blog suffers. It's been a little miserable around here with all the pollen, freezing, roasting and etc. but at least it looks like Spring with all the pretty flowers in bloom. But Finally, here are a few little arty things from the past couple of months.

Hope you enjoyed them. Thanks for stopping by.

A Little Bit of New Art

It's been a while since I posted. I have done a few things. Not a lot though. I got out of the habit of making art everyday. Shame on me. I will try to do better.

A birthday card for a friend who has a "thang" for giraffes:

A mixed media post card using a stamp called Take your Time by Daniel Torrente from Stampotique Originals:

A trio for an ATC, Twinchie, Inchie swap with one of my stamps called 3 Daisies from Stampotique Originals:

And a doodle on an ATC just because it was there:

Altered Playing Card Challenge weeks 3 & 4

I am really having fun with the altered playing cards. Claudine is a great teacher. Her instructions are really clear and easy to follow, which is a good thing for me!  Not only is it fun but there are some really great cards showing up from the others.

I think I'll be doing mixed media more often.

Here are my cards from week 3 -

Here are my cards from week 4 -

It isn't too late to join in.  Go HERE to have fun with us.
