A Surprise

Isn't this just fabulous! It opens up into a 3-D flowers, birds & butterflies, three of my favorite things. Thank You so much Deja, it's a wonderful surprise and I just had to share.

A bit of art

It's been a while again but this time I haven't done much in the way of art. I made an ATC.

And a birthday card for my aunt.

I can't believe it's been over a month since I added anything here. Well, yes I can! But even though I haven't kept up I have been busy, mostly. Here are a few things that I've done. There are a lot of pictures in this post. Just sayin'

I've been trying to keep up with The Documented Life Project prompts and the Journal 52 prompts and have done a few of them but am still behind. Here are a few of the ones I've done.

Can you imagine? This is the first ever found poetry I have ever done. And it was really hard to find things that even made a little sense together so it may also be my last.

 

I also got a little bird-brained and made some Bird ATC's and one doodle.

 

I hope you enjoyed looking at my artwork. I love your comments and appreciate them all even though I don't normally answer them. Is that rude? Should I answer them? What do you think?

A little bit of art

Isn't this just a hoot! I won this handmade "Inner Critic" doll in a drawing over on the Tattered Past  blog.  You should check it out. She has some great memory prompts. It's really amazing the things that come back to you with just a word.  Thank You Rita.

Inner Critic - Shut him up with one little zip! He doesn't really have a cup handle coming out of his head he was just too tired to stand on his own and needed some coffee to prop him up.

 I've been doing some painting in my various journals. Birds, flowers, and weeds, my all time favorite things to draw and paint, with a few bugs thrown in.

snow

We don't get much snow here. More ice than snow and not a lot of ice, but I guess this year Mom Nature is trying to get something going on everywhere. It started sleeting and turned to snow around 4am. It's a little chilly today. Somewhere around 23 F. I think but it's really beautiful. I do feel for those that have to get out and drive in it but I'm thankful I'm not one of them!

I haven't done much but I did make a couple of ATC's for some upcoming swaps.

Now if I could just turn off my lazy and finish some of those journal pages that are waiting for paint!

A New Year

Sorry I've been a bit slow to post but aside from my normal slow to go, someone sent me a nasty little germ that kept me busy for a while but here I am feeling all better and have even done some art. (just don't ask about how clean my house is please)!

First off - My friend Claudine Claudine's Art Corner sent me this fantastic journal that she made, filled with wonderful watercolor paper. I love it. Thank you so much, Claudine. I've already started painting in it. Be sure and check out her blog, she has some great art and some great tutorials.

 Not a very good scan but I think I have mentioned that my scanner is definitely getting tired and cranky.
